Teen behind-the-wheel training at Level Up Driving Academy is designed specifically for drivers ages 15½ and up who hold a DMV learner’s permit. Every lesson is one-on-one with Danny Mendoza, a DMV certified instructor with over 7 years of experience (License #E0302), in a 4-door sedan with dual instructor pedals. We understand learning to drive is a major milestone, and our patient instruction creates a supportive, stress-free environment where teens build confidence at their own pace.
The 6 hours are typically completed in three 2-hour sessions, allowing your teen to practice and absorb skills between lessons, spaced learning is proven more effective than cramming.

Teens must be at least 15½ years old and have their learner’s permit before starting behind-the-wheel training. They should also have completed or be enrolled in driver’s education.
We typically schedule three 2-hour sessions spread over 2–3 weeks, allowing time to practice between lessons. Sessions can be after school or in the evenings.
Lessons take place on real roads throughout Camarillo, Oxnard, and the surrounding Ventura County area, including the routes used by the local DMV.
Yes, our Certificate of Completion is accepted at all California DMV offices. We’re a fully licensed, DMV-approved driving school (License #E0302).
